Degaussing
We
offer a degaussing service for Data,
CCTV, and Video tapes.
Since 2007 the MoD have stipulated
that Degaussing is no longer 100%
efficient/effective on today's
modern hard drives, therefore we do
not recommend Hard Drive degaussing,
but we will provide this service if
required.
Hard Drive Shredding
The
shredding of
hard drives
utilises a
purpose
built Low
speed, high
torque,
industrial
disintegrator,
which
involves a
process of
cutting and
grinding the
drives into
small
particles
that are
finally
reduced to
pass through
a screen
(40mm - 6mm
dependent on
security
requirements).
At 6mm Not
even the world's
most capable IT
professional's
could piece the
data together
again.
Note: All
shredded fragments are then
sent to an aluminium smelter.
As part of our data destruction
service, we even ensure that any
paper records are either returned to
you or destroyed.
Our data destruction services are
performed to the standards defined
by the MoD. Shredding to a size of
6mm possible.
Being ISO
27001:2005 certified every
stage of the process is auditable.
Full and very detailed audit reports
are available free of charge for any
equipment processed.
